January updates from the Crieff Food Co – Happy New Year, Remake January launch, Meet John, we have a winner!

Welcome to your January updates from The Crieff Food Co and here’s wishing you Happy New Year! The TCFC team wish you a healthy, fun, and fabulous 2023!

Let’s dig in to the full round-up!

Remake January launch

We proudly launched Remake January on New Year’s Day. We are partnering with Remake Scotland to share sustainable living tips  – a cause that is so very close to our hearts here at the Crieff Food Co – to help us get this year off to an eco-friendly start. Keep an eye out for more about this on our socials, website, and in-store.

Meet John

In the latest of our introductions to the TCFC team, we’re delighted to present John. You’ll find his expertise on show behind the counter at our in-store butcher Colin Nicoll Traditional Butcher.
Colin has only been in Crieff a matter of months and he trained with a large supermarket chain before joining TCFC and works closely with the rest of the team. Always smiling and full of interesting facts, our customers love popping in for a chinwag as well as their usual meat order from people-person John!

Lemon pepper sauce is his favourite product. It also goes down a storm with customers. Why? Because it’s great on chicken, pork or prawns, this lip-smacking, peppery wonder brings any dish to life, particularly kebabs and stir-fries.

Drumroll please…we have a winner!

Congratulations to Maisie Norwell whose recycled Christmas decoration design won her the Auchingarrich Wildlife Park Annual Pass from Amulree Welch, General Manager of Remake Scotland.

Lauren from the Cafe is pictured above with Maisie with her winning decoration. Brilliant work Maisie and a big thank you to all the children across the community that made decorations for our tree. It’s by far the best looking tree we’ve ever had!

Crieff Food Co Christmas party

The TCFC Christmas Party happened on December 8th and we had an absolute ball! Guests enjoyed live music, drinks, nibbles and late night Christmas Shopping! A huge thanks to all – and to our wonderful stall holders –  LJack Art, The Dundee Gin Co, Pentire Drinks, Strathearn Cheese Co., Corney & Barrow, Orkney Brewery, Whitebox Cocktails, George Campbell & Sons.

And finally, we wanted to give a shout-out to the children from Ardvreck School that popped in to hang their hand-made decorations on our sustainable Christmas tree. Great work! They all looked wonderful!
