Best get cracking then.

Christmas is coming

Planning is everything for a perfect Christmas. Dot those Christmas diner i’s and cross the t’s with a little help from our Christmas Order Forms, available in-store now. And if you’re looking for the perfect gift, please look out for our new Christmas Hamper range that’s coming very soon!

Jamie Cooks!

In another of our Jamie Cooks series, we’re helping you make the most of our Strathearn tattie harvest with the finest produce from The Handy Shop at TCFC.

Jamie show us how to make Crispy Cheese and Bacon Potato Bake, that feeds a family for under £10, and you can watch it on our Facebook page by clicking here.

Leafy green goodness

‘Tis the season to be leafy! With such an incredible range of healthy leafy greens in-store from The Handy Shop at TCFC, we are all spoilt for choice!

Reducing food waste

We’ve been working diligently at the Crieff Food Co to reduce our food waste, and in the last 12 months we’ve cut it by over 50%.

How?

By getting smarter and more streamlined with our ordering and stock management process, and donating all that we can to the Crieff Food Bank by Crieff ConneXions.

Perhaps you could take a look through your cupboards to see if there’s anything you could donate?

Meet the team

We recently introduced you to two of our valued team members via our social media: Timea, our Café & Homewares Supervisor who’s been with us for just over two years, and Jeanette, who has worked in our Food Hall & Deli for almost a year now.

Timea is the friendly face of our café, where she and the team have served more than 40k cups of Glen Lyon Coffee so far this year!

Timea (pictured left) loves this coffee from the speciality coffee roasters based in Aberfeldy, and she married her partner Gheorghe, who also works at The Crieff Food Co, earlier this year.

We wish them both a very happy future together!

One of Jeanette’s (pictured right) favourite products at TCFC come from Strathearn Cheese Co. made in our neighbouring town, Comrie.

All the cheeses are made using local milk supplies and local flavours.

Loved by customers and staff alike, Jeanette truly encompasses everything the Crieff Food Co stands for.

And we also want to take this opportunity to again congratulate Strathearn Cheese Co. for their Gold Award in the Best Scottish Cheese category at this year’s Royal Highland Show!

Pumpkin fun

Weighing in at 10kg and standing 80cm tall, we raffled off a monstrous choccie pumpkin worth over £200, with all proceeds going to Crieff ConneXions in recognition of the fantastic work they do in our community.

And the winner was..local lady Claire (pictured) who popped in to pick up her Giant Chocolate Pumpkin prize!

Enjoy, Claire!

Our team also got pumpkin-creative!

We asked you to scroll through the images on our Facebook and Instagram pages to pick your favourite, enabling us to crown our Pumpkin Carving Champion 2022 – Maria from the Food Hall with CHOMPER!

Congratulations! Who knew our lovely Maria could be so TERRIFYING!

We’re hiring

And finally, we have a range of full-time and part-time roles available at the Food Hall and the Cafe. Love people? Love teamwork? Love great produce? Then we’d love to hear from you!
